Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle Review
Who is Tom Venuto?
Tom Venuto is a natural body builder (which means no steroids) that has been training since 1983. He started competing in 1989 and has won many titles including Mr. Natural New Jersey, Natural New York State, Natural Pennsylvania and was in second place for both the Mr. Natural USA and Mr. Natural North America titles.
Not only is Tom a body builder, he is also a bit of a science geek and has written more than 400 articles on fitness, nutrition, exercise and more since 1999.
In fact, you can see his articles in body building magazines such as IRONMAN (US, Italy and Australia), Men’s Exercise, Men’s Fitness, Natural Bodybuilding, Muscular Development, Exercise for Men and on thousands of websites and blogs on the internet.
Even Oprah in her Oprah magazine, and main stream publishers such as the Wall Street Journal and New York Times have featured the writings of Tom Venuto or the man himself.
He has helped many amateur and professional body builders achieve their peak fitness, but more importantly he has helped thousands of ordinary men and women who just want to lose fat, get fit and enjoy a healthier and better lifestyle through his online ebook Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle.
So What is Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle?
It is not a quick fix weight loss and exercise program. In fact, Tom is at pains to explain that to lose fat (not weight), and get a muscular and toned body, you need to work at it. There is no shortcut or easy way out. So if that is what you are looking for, you are looking at the wrong place.
Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle is a well researched, in depth fact based guide on the right diet to follow, based on your own body type or baseline; and what are the correct amount of carbohydrates, protein and fats requirements specific to your body. Everyone is different, so there is no such thing as ‘one diet fits all’.
In fact, most of the book (some 270 pages) is just geared towards nutrition, diet, your goals (and how to achieve them – he goes very indepth about positive mental attitudes and mental conditioning), determining your body type, measuring your ‘basal metabolic rate’ (how many base calories you burn each day) and how to track your progress.
It is a book targeted at serious body builders and the 341 pages ebook goes into minute details (maybe too detailed) on diet, especially just before a competition, and how to achieve that totally chiseled ripped muscular body. However, it does not mean that an average person wanting to get fitter and healthier should avoid it, as it is packed full of myth busting facts and advise, scientifically backed data, and ways to improve your body safely and efficiently.
And it is aimed at burning just the fat – not lean tissues, not water loss and not muscles. It is the fat that is hiding the muscles, so that is the main thing that needs to go.
A word of warning though, there is a lot of information to go through and you need to be dedicated and committed to get you head wrapped around the information. It is also very involved so it is not for the faint hearted.
However, I found it a little skimpy on the part about cardiovascular exercises and the actual body building exercises. You are told what to do, but the ebook does not really go into great details on how you should do them.
The Burn the Fat, Feed The Muscle book and program are available for $39.00 and $59.00, depending on which program you go for. A sixty-day money-back guarantee accompanies either program level which means you can have time to see if this program is really for you.
Now you can test drive the ebook for a trial price of just $4.95 for 21 days. If you decide to keep the ebook after 21 days, you will be automatically billed for the balance which is $35.00. Really, what have you got to lose (except body fat)?.
You can also join their membership site for a trial of $1.00 where there will be audio files (mainly of interviews), recipes to keep you on track, a data base of nutritional facts to see if you are eating right, lists of foods to eat (or not to eat), and of course articles, frequently asked questions and a forum for you to hob nob with fellow fat burning members. It also has the much talked about but not available calculators you need which makes life a lot easier for those that are not gifted in the Maths department.
There are three bonuses that are available with the purchase and these are ‘Foods that Burn Fat’, and ‘Foods that Turn To Fat’. These two bonuses will give you no excuses as to what to eat and what not to eat as it is all listed out. There is also a third bonus to give you a more detailed guide on how to measure your body fat ratio.
In the deluxe package, you get ‘The Fat Burn Files’ which is a series of 10 interviews – all transcribed into 265 pages – mainly of interviews with the author himself.
Personally the basic package is more than enough to keep anyone occupied for a long while, but if you want to hear more advise and tips from the man himself, then these additional files will do that.
Whether you are a bodybuilder preparing for a contest to eliminate that last bit of subcutaneous fat so the muscles are displayed in all their glory, or someone interested in losing fat, and getting their body and their dietary habits back in shape, Tom Venuto’s Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle is a guide that is well worth looking into.
